Life on Long Island

A picture is worth a thousand words. You have this adage many times before! By sampling on a number of locations on Long Island, we will bring you some proprietary pictures and third party data about the island. This way, you will learn about what is awaiting you.

Beaches. During the Summer, Long Island residents have the choice between the North and South shore beaches. To have a taste of what will be near your new home, click here.

Port Jefferson Ferry. Car drivers traveling to Connecticut and further North have the options to take the ferry across the Long Island Sound unto Connecticut. Here is a link to the ferry.

Malls and Shopping Centers. There are many large and small shopping centers on Long Island. The Tanger Outlet Center, for instance, is a very famous one. Click here to see in pictures.

Roads and Parks. There are several local and express roads leading to Long Island. You can make do through the Flatbush's Marines Park Bridge from Brooklyn or Cross Bay Bridge in Queens. The Belt Parkway ends at the Southern Parkway to Long Island East. Linden Boulevard, Hempstead Avenue, Hillside Avenue, Northern Boulevard, and some other roads run into Long Island from Queens as well. The Grand Central Parkway ends where the Northern State Parkway begin to lead you to Long Island East. The Long Island Expressway take you all the way to Tanger Outlet Center.
